Modern Montessori Academy (MMA) is a Private Elementary Islamic school (JK/SK-G8), located in Oakville, Ontario.

وهي تؤمن أن للطفل قوة مجهولة إذا وجهت بالطريقة الصحيحة فمن المتوقع أن تقودنا هذه القوة الى مستقبل زاهر وعالم أفضل.
لذلك وجب على أولياء الأمور عدم تقييد حرية أطفالهم ، بل توفير بيئة آمنة تساعدهم وتسهل لهم عملية الاستكشاف والفضول للمعرفة الذي يولد بالفطرة معهم، والذي يتم جمحه شيئا فشيئا بكثرة المحضورات والنهي المتكرر عن كل ما يثير فضوله ، فالأولى إذن اتباع شغف الطفل وميولاته وحبه للاستطلاع واشباعه قدر المستطاع من خلال توفير أنشطة متنوعة ومفيدة تخدم تطوره سواء الحسي، الحركي أو الاجتماعي..الخ مع مراعاة طبعا البيئة الآمنة في ذلك، وتبقى الطبيعة والاحتكاك بها المعلم الأول والأروع للطفل بلا منازع

Practical Life
Practical Life is the foundation for helping children to integrate into the learning community
Practical Life Exercises
Care of self, care of the environment, pouring, spooning, cleaning, polishing, food preparation, etc. Grace and courtesy, respectful ways of communicating greetings and manners. This area aids in learning fine motor skills and orderly work habits that will help with further work in all other areas of study.

Sensorial
Dr. Montessori understood that children learn best through experiential activities that refine the senses. the curriculum addresses the development of the visual, auditory, tactile, gustatory (tasting), olfactory (smelling) senses. sensorial lessons introduce the beginning of scientific thinking. the introduction to two and three dimensional geometry helps children better understand the world around them.
Sensorial Materials
This area isolates and refines the senses, such as auditory, visual, tactile, chromatic, taste. Sensorial materials also include working on classification, seriation, observation, geometrical shapes, forms and laws of geometry.

Language
Dr. Montessori thought that language development was the foundation of human culture. Children are born with an amazing capacity to absorb language.
Language Materials
This covers oral and written language, phonics, letter recognition, pre-reading and pre-writing, parts of speech, grammar and composition. Storytelling.

Mathematics
Qualitative and quantitative concepts, numeral recognition, decimal system, mathematical operations, and fractions. Understanding mathematical concepts using concrete materials and eventually moving onto abstract calculations.

Culture,Science,Geography
This area of study introduces the child to many different subjects, Geography, History, Zoology, Botany, and Science. Examples of materials covered in Culture are Land forms, countries of the world, continents, flags, elements of nature,
current event, living/non-living things, plants and animals, parts of living things, life cycles, experiments, time measurement, and basic physics. Health issues are also introduced such as nutrition, food groups and exercises.

Creative Art
This subject will cover colour theory, exposure to various media, design, and appreciation for individual expression.
Physical Education
The physical education program encourages sportsmanship, cooperation, learning the rules of various games, specific sport skills and teamwork. This area will also cover Health and Nutrition.

Students will learn basic oral skills. They will also be introduced to the written language, using workbooks and learning the alphabet, parts of speech and common expressions.

ما هو المنتسوري؟
هو منهج لتعليم الاطفال و التعامل معهم ابتكرته ماريا منتسوري
هى طبيبة ايطالية تخصصت بعد ذلك في مجال تربية الاطفال و تعليمهم و ابتكرت منهجا سمي على اسمها يهتم بتربية الاطفال و تعليمهم من الولادة و خلال جميع مراحل طفولتهم
بنت ماريا منتسوري نظرياتها من خلال ملاحظتها القريبة للأطفال و على اساس ذلك استنتجت بعض الاستنتاجات التى تتعلق بالتعامل مع الاطفال منها:
-ان الطفل ليتعلم لا يجب ان يخاف ..فيجب علينا توفير روح المرح اثناء التعلم
'ان الطفل منذ الولادة و حتى ست سنوات من عمره يعمل عقله ليخزن اى معلومة او خبرة او مهارة بوعي او بدون وعي منه و سمت عقل الطفل في هذه المرحلة بالعقل الممتص فيجب استغلال هذه الخاصية في عقل الطفل لتعليمه مهارات متعددة و صفات وعادات جيدة
-ان الطفل منذ ان يولد يسعي لأن يستقل بذاته و يعتمد على نفسه فيبدأ اولا بمحاولاته للحركة حتى يصل الى المشي..محاولاته للوصول الى الأشياء..محاولاته ليفعل مثل ما يفعل الكبار..فيجب علينا كمربين ان نهيء له عالما يستطيع فيه الاعتماد على نفسه دون ان يكون هناك خطر عليه
-الشعور بالتقدير من الاشياء التى يحتاجها الطفل فلا يجب ان نقلل من مشاعره و احاسيسه و احتياجاته
-هناك فترات او مراحل حساسة يمر بها الطفل على مدار فترة طفولته و تعريف هذه المرحلة هى فترة يسعي الطفل فيها الى تعلم شيء ما او مهارة جديدة و يجب على المربي ان يسعى لاكتشاف هذه الفترات ليوفر للطفل بيئة ثرية بالانشطة و المثيرات المختلفة التى تساعده على اتقان هذه المهارة
و من سمات هذه المراحل ان الطفل يسعى فيها لتكرار فعل معين مرات كثيرة
دون ملل.
